THIS Friday 4th of March the infamous Melbourne club night Rats will be hitting Geetroit's Nash with all of it's usual shenanigans in toe they've roped along a few of their crew's finest to get your bootys shakin' and heads a boppin'!
*Getting Tropical Treat*
Now everybody in Geetroit know that these boys can rock a party; but just in case you've misplaced those brain cells here's some hard evidence that Naysayer & Gilsun are one of the best remixing/mash-ups duos going around and are ones not to miss! (12am-1am in the Band Room)
It's that sad time of the year where we have to morn the loss of our sinful Sunday summer session with Knock! Knock! Who's There? at The Barking Dog!
Well need not to worry I have the first installment of the Tropical Track Drop to assist us as we repair our sore heads, tired bodies and broken boxes.
The big day has crept up on us and everybody in Geetroit knows that Pako Festa is one of the biggest Saturdays of the year (somehow leaving you with a iminant 'top-yourself-tuesday').
As you all know Pako Festa is Geetroit's own celebration of fashion, food, music, culture and an excuse to get tropical!
How much does it cost to see all these tropical acts perform in a tropically awesome rave cave resulting in you getting tropically sweaty and having a super happy fun rad tropical time?!
Ten tropical dollars!
But be warned:
When we say 'yeah dude lyke cum to da dog early' we REALLY mean it this time! There are no tropical guest lists available or prioty entries. It starts at Twelve.AM PM and there is no excuse to not come down and Get Tropical!
I'm super serial you guys you've been warned!
If that wasn't enough here is some swoit tunes to wet your aural whistle in anticipation for the big day tomorrow!
You can't miss..
Tommy Trash
Producer slash DJ slash musician Tommy Trash is one of the biggest names in Australian dance music. Since bursting onto the scene just three years ago, Tommy has dominated charts and dance floors alike with over 40 originals and remixes, quickly establishing himself as one of our most talented and prolific homegrown artists.
As a DJ the rise of Hook N Sling has been nothing short of phenomenal. Touring relentlessly around Australia, Europe and USA. Few DJs can boast such a wide variety of regular gigs at Pacha London, Space Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound, Global Gathering, Future Music Festival and Good Vibrations to name just a few.
DJ Generik is definitely Aussie bred yet a citizen of the world, and he has spent most of his adult life either DJing at a party, being at a party or on an aircraft going to a party. He rubs shoulders and is on first name basis with the likes of the all the A-list DJs and B-grade celebs the world over. After his performance at Kick-It On The Block last year we all know he can bring the party wherever he is!
DJ Minx
When you’re just five years into your DJing career and you’ve already completed a chart-killing mix CD for Australia’s no.1 dance club Onelove and a string of international tour dates, then the writing is undeniably on the wall. DJ Minx is not only easy on the eye her mixing and ability to work the crowd whatever club/festival/party she is at speaks for itself!
